This weekend the ladies will be on the retreat so we will be watching the ball game. Just kidding! We will actually be looking at 1 Corinthians 6:12-20 with a great study called, "How to use the Body for the Lord." I think this will be a very moving study as we learn how to make the most of our union with Christ. |

This weekend we jump right back into 1 Corinthians chapter 6. This passage has some very interesting issues that Paul will address such as "should a Christian file a lawsuit against another believer"? And "What is the relationship between a believer and the laws of the government"? We will observe from the text how we are to relate legally to one another and those in authority over us. It has been humorously stated that "the only good law suit is the one an attorney wears." Is that biblically true? Join us as we explore the word of God on this very interesting topic. There will be some very deep spiritual implications so don't think it is only a "practical study." |

Church discipline seems to be something that the majority of Christians know very little, if anything, about. In our day the perception seems to be that any disciplinary action is contrary to the grace revealed in Christ and that any church or leaders who perform any type of discipline are arrogant and prideful Pharisees. If you notice our text (1 Corinthians 5:1-13) you will see that the exact opposite is true. There is a serious sexual sin in the church at Corinth and Paul states the reason they are not doing church discipline is BECAUSE they are prideful and arrogant. I think the truth of this passage will amaze you and reveal something about the ways of God most have been blinded to by false teaching. |

Pastor Scott Lowther, "I have been looking closely at every word and phrase in 1 Cor 4:8-20 and while the basic message is very clearly seen, the Lord has been peeling back layer after layer revealing an incredible tapestry of truth and possibility. The difficult portion for me comes in to play as I wrestle through the prayer process of which direction does He wants me to take with you this weekend. As it sits now, I have called the study "A Fool for Christ" and the focus will not be on the historical narrative of Paul's life experience." |

This weekend we will cover 1 Corinthians 4:1-7 in Paul's letter to the Corinthians. This portion of scripture is one of the most practical for understanding what it means to be a faithful minister. I called the study "Stewards and Servants." There will be something for everyone as we see what the Bible has to say about leading and serving both the Lord and His church. |

This weekend's study is from 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 and is called "Watching What We Build." This section of scripture clearly reveals the blueprints for building a Godly church and life. Bring your hard hat, Bible and note pad and see if the Lord might just speak to you about a new construction project. We will also be sharing in communion so come prepared to meet with the Lord. |
